Duo Doppio is a new guitar duo featuring Jinhee Kim and Damiano Pisanello, two musicians whose dedication to the guitar brings fresh energy to the stage.

Jinhee Kim, a celebrated guitarist from Korea and Professor of Guitar at Trossingen University of Music in Germany, has performed on prominent stages, including the "Rising Star" series in Basel and Seoul. Known for her pioneering work in contemporary music, Jinhee has collaborated with ensembles like HOAX Quartet and ÉRMA Ensemble, presenting innovative works for both classical and electric guitar. Her dedication to expanding the guitar repertoire is evident through her meticulous transcriptions and focus on lesser-known compositions.

Damiano Pisanello, born in Geneva, is an internationally award-winning guitarist whose artistry has garnered accolades in competitions across Europe and beyond, including prestigious international guitar competitions in Antony, Claxica, and Seville. With a strong foundation in historical and contemporary styles, Damiano performs widely as a soloist with chamber orchestras and collaborates with the HOAX Quartet, passionately exploring bold, modern compositions. His debut album, Orphenica Lyra, was released on Contrastes Records in 2020, showcasing his commitment to expanding the guitar's expressive range.

Together, Duo Doppio combines their vast musical influences, technical finesse, and shared dedication to both traditional and avant-garde guitar music. Their performances promise to be rich in texture and depth, resonating with audiences through a repertoire that honors the guitar’s legacy while pushing its boundaries.
